It's the estimated resale value of the singles inside — before the price of the pack, before fees and shipping, and before the plain fact that most packs are worth less than they cost. The valuable cards are rare (that's the whole point of the table below). If you want a specific card, buying the single is almost always cheaper and certain.

How these odds are calculated

Pull rates come from the set's real pack configuration published by MTGJSON (v5.3.0+20260803) — the same print-sheet weights the real pack uses.
1 in N = 1 ÷ (chance the card appears at least once in a pack), averaged across every pack configuration and weighted by how often each occurs.
Per-box chance = 1 − (1 − pack chance)^{packs per box} — the chance of at least one across a sealed box of the size shown.
Foil and non-foil are listed separately: different cards to a collector, priced very differently.
A deliberate approximation treats each sheet as sampled with replacement. For real sheet sizes the difference is far below the rounding shown, and it can only ever understate a card's odds, never overstate them.
Card identity, images, and prices from Scryfall and TCGplayer market data, updated daily. Box sizes are the typical retail configuration.
